It seeks to increase the number of faculty members and specialized professionals needed by universities by preparing individuals for academic life. The program's primary goal is to develop scientists who possess scientific thinking skills, knowledge and research abilities, and are capable of planning interdisciplinary work, with the ability to reach a coordination base of knowledge across different fields, including entrepreneurial, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary approaches. Additionally, the program aims to provide a sports sciences education that will ensure the most efficient use of human factors within the framework of health, engineering, and social sciences, in order to design systems and train personnel for improving performance in sports. Besides education, the program also targets conducting research in sports sciences, producing related publications, and contributing to the knowledge base through organizing scientific conferences. Furthermore, it aims to support the professional development of physical education teachers working in primary and secondary education institutions, which form the backbone of Turkish sports, by following global scientific research and applying changes in their profession. The program also contributes to the skill development of students, helping them highlight their abilities.
