Department of Coaching Education

The Department of Coaching Education started education at the Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Farabi Campus in the 2020 - 2021 academic year. The education period is 8 semesters. The language of instruction is Turkish. The aim of the Besyo Coaching Education Department is to enable students to follow the performances of athletes both in Turkey and in the world, to have effective athlete training, to conduct scientific research in the field of sports, to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that can serve in the relevant field of the coaching profession, to assimilate ethical values, is to train contemporary coaches who have embraced the importance of long-term learning. Graduates of Coaching Education Department can work as trainers or assistant coaches in amateur and professional sports clubs, Provincial and District Organizations of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports and schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. In addition, they can take part in the teaching and organization of sports activities in private gyms and in the tourism sector. It aims to develop students' skills and leadership characteristics. In the coaching department, training is carried out in team sports and individual sports (Olympic and non-Olympic). Students specialize in the field they want from among these fields. The Department of Coaching Education offers courses that improve the theoretical and practical knowledge of students with an education system based on scientific methods.
