The program seeks to prepare individuals for academic careers and to increase the number of academic staff and specialized professionals needed by universities.
Its primary objective is to cultivate versatile, interdisciplinary scholars with scientific thinking abilities, research and analytical skills, entrepreneurial and dynamic qualities, and the capacity to coordinate knowledge across professions.
Additionally, the program aims to implement a sports sciences education that facilitates the optimal use of human factors within the framework of health, engineering, and social sciences by developing methods and techniques for designing systems and training personnel to improve performance in sports.
Beyond education, the program also aims to contribute to the accumulation of scientific knowledge by conducting research related to sports sciences, producing publications, and organizing scientific events.
Another goal is to support the professional development of physical education teachers working in primary and secondary schools—which form the foundation of Turkish sports—by enabling them to pursue graduate education, follow global scientific developments, and apply changes in their profession. The program also aims to enhance students' skill development and help them showcase their talents.
